Description
The temperament of the Golden Retriever is a trademark of the breed and is described in the standard as friendly, kind and self-confident. They are not one-man dogs and are generally friendly with both strangers and those they are familiar with. Their trusting, gentle nature therefore makes them a bad watchdog.
