Description
The F4F-3 Wildcat was the standard carrier based fighter of the US Navy for the first year and a half of WWII. An improved version was later in service on escort carriers where larger fighter aircraft could not be used. The Wildcat was outperformed the Japanese Zero but held its own by its ability to absorb more damage and wield more firepower.

- Markings for VMF-244 Guadalcanal 1942 and VF-6 on USS Enterprise, 1942.
- Completed kit measures nearly 11″ long with a wingspan of over 14″
